AMBER HAYDEY MUSIC
SINGER | SONGWRITER
Hello
My name is Amber Haydey
There’s an essence that comes from being sure of yourself as an artist; a confidence earned through trials and time that elevates both the sound and stories they share. Between skillful song writing and sultry vocals, Amber Haydey resonates this sense of knowing, warmly embracing who she is.
Born in Peace River, Alberta and later rooted in Stony Plain, Haydey is a Métis artist, proud of her indigenous roots. Raised in a family with a deep love for music, Haydey was captivated from a young age.
“I have always been drawn to music,” Haydey remembers warmly, “Both sides of my family had a love for music, so it was always playing. I remember kitchen parties with guitars, spoons, you name it. Everyone would be singing along, having the time of their life. They all planted the seed, and it just grew from there.”
Her songs are shaped by life experiences, close relationships and even social media, filled with hints of rock, blues and classic country. Sonically her music is a nod to the 90’s, with lyrical inspiration from introspective storytellers like Jewel. Her deep voice bears glimmers of Wynona Judd and Ashley McBryde while remaining distinctly unique.
A Global Country Star Search Finalist, she has opened for chart topping acts like Jess Moskaluke and Emerson Drive, and has had the pleasure of playing large scale stages such as the Darwell Barn Burner, Coors Banquet Stage at Big Valley Jamboree, and the Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton, AB.
